Hi, I’m Toby. I study Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at UC Berkeley, and I like building software end to end: schema, backend, UI, and the deploy pipeline that gets it in front of people.
I’m a technical product intern at a stealth AI startup founded by Eric Schmidt and Sebastian Thrun. I ship features across Swift and Kotlin codebases for consumer social apps, build internal moderation and analytics dashboards on Supabase and Postgres, and wired a Raspberry Pi signup tracker into production APIs.
I’m also a CS 61A tutor, supporting 30+ students in weekly lab sections. Before that I tutored Data C8 and spent summer 2025 as an AI product intern at AskTuring AI.
I direct short films with the Business and Film Association at Berkeley, most recently leading a crew of 20 and a cast of 4 through production. Before that I spent two years with BareStage Productions as financial director, stage manager, sound and light designer, and actor, and performed in The Prom in summer 2025.
I grew up in San Diego with a twin brother and a younger brother. I’ve been to 15 countries, and Thailand is the all-time favorite. I also tutor math, physics, and SAT prep.
I’m a bit of a gamer. On League of Legends I’m always up for a match, and in Teamfight Tactics I’ve climbed into the top 5% of players in North America.
I was a child actor and model, and you might still spot me on an old billboard somewhere. I once shot an ad campaign in Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s house, and you can catch me as a baby in season 3 of The Office.
